As a mother of two... I have a huge passion for capturing the special intricacies of pregnancy and the birth of a child! I have created "JillyBelly's", which is a unique, custom-made, beautiful piece of artwork out of clay. Your JillyBelly's will capture that special moment in time that you will never get back... Also, I customize little precious moments in clay with imprints of adorable feet and hands of your newborn. You have the option of glazing your piece or suggest to me how you would like for it to be... My heart and passion are so engrained in what I do... to be able to share in such a beautiful "capture in time" in your life is a gift you give to me.
The classes that are provided allow for children (3+) and adults, to create from a "lump" of clay whatever you want! You have the option to "hand-build" or be instructed on a wheel, the proper technique of "throwing". Class pricing inclusive of all supplies.
The Painting and Drawing classes entail the choice of different mediums... students have the option of what medium they would like to use... options are: oils, pastels, acrylics and watercolors, and "Nature's Paintbrushing". Weather permitting, we go on excursions to the Lilly Pond, Peggy NoerTBA-See Link Abovert Nature Museum, and Lincoln Park Zoo.
Children have the opportunity to express themselves through various mediums of arts and crafts that are offered. All projects are seasonal and holiday related, and age appropriate. Whether painting pet rocks, or creating a collage of "nature", little "munchkins" can pick what they would like to do. They are taught technique, and encouraged to expand on their individuality through the "creations" that they make.
Functional and basic beginner class that entails the basic technique of learning how to use your own digital camera as a creative tool. You are taught the basic principles of composition and exploring ways to develope your own vision of your subject matter that you choose.
"There will be no english spoken in the classes unless extreme emergency!!!!! There is no miracle. You need to be firm and do 1 hr of french a day. The CD will have everything on it so just listen to it everyday do the homework and you will be amazed of the results. I am a mother of 2 children. Impromptu Imagination (Walk Ins)This is a class offered for people who just want to "try it out". If you have always wondered or wanted to try an art class... this would be for you! You can participate in a 1- to - 3 hour session for pottery, either throwing on a wheel or hand-building. Also, you can be instructed in painting, drawing, and jewelry-making. You get to choose the medium that you want to try out...
Etude Solitaire D'Art(4 Week Session)
Pottery, painting, drawing, photography, and French lessons are offered as an 4-week session. Classes are for children (3 and up), and adults. Pricing is based on 1 hour, 1 1/2 hour, and 2 hour classes.
(Date Night)
Enjoy a special "date night", while we provide a beautiful platter of imported cheeses, and fresh fruits. BYOB, and have a fun, romantic evening of creativity!
Arc De Triomphe Fetes(Private Parties)
We plan private parties for birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, business functions, fundraising events, etc. Pricing will vary according to the number of people, and also the planning entailed.

Avoir De L’Imagination Studio has originated out of a creativity and love for the arts. The concept of my studio is to offer you an environment that supports, and expands on your imagination and individuality…
Having a huge passion for artistic creativity, and being a mother of two, I came up with the concept of pottery and “journaling”, as a result of my love for throwing and hand-building. Watching my children, since the age of three, have a passion for “creating with clay”, and having the opportunity to be there and share in the experience of why they did, what they did…was a wonderful gift.
The uniqueness of Avoir De L’Imagination Studio is the “journaling” of your child’s work, along the way. I will propose different ideas regarding texture, color, shapes, etc. each week to them. The idea is for each child to feel free to express themselves in a different medium. The weekly “assignment” will enable me to discuss with the children why they are doing, what they are doing with their pieces. Also, they have time to reflect on their progress, and realize that every little intricacy of their “work” is special, and unique.
The end result, is they will bring home, to you, their beautiful, unique pieces of artwork, along with an understanding of their thought process.
My studio offers a variety of classes, for everyone, of every age group. I welcome sharing in a creative ambience for Mom and Tots, children of all ages, and fun adult classes, as well.
I hope that you will share with me the opportunity to express yourselves, and also, allow your children to “avoir de l’imagination”!
